How FICT Delivers Quantitative Results
The FIA680 is built on Migibio’s proprietary Fluorescence Immunochromatographic Technology (FICT). Fluorescent microspheres labelled with analyte-specific antibodies bind to the target biomarker in the specimen and migrate along a nitrocellulose membrane. The analyzer excites the captured fluorophores and converts the emitted fluorescence intensity into an objective concentration (reported in Tu/ml, µg/dL, or ng/ml depending on the analyte).
Because fluorescence intensity is directly proportional to analyte concentration, the FIA680 delivers a true quantitative result — not a subjective line reading. This underpins the analyzer’s pg/ml-level sensitivity and CV% below 10% precision, enabling clinicians to track trends and titrate therapy with confidence.
FIA680 vs. FIA880: Which Analyzer Fits Your Practice?
| Capability | FIA680 (Single-Channel) | FIA880 (Six-Channel) |
|---|---|---|
| Parallel samples | 1 at a time | 6 simultaneously |
| Throughput | Up to 200 tests/hour | Up to 300 tests/hour |
| Ideal for | Small clinics, mobile vets | Hospitals, reference labs |
| Footprint | Compact, portable | Larger, benchtop |
Choose the FIA680 for cost-effective point-of-care testing in a lower-volume setting. Choose the FIA880 when multiple clinicians run tests concurrently and queuing would slow workflow.
Three-Step Operation
- Add sample — apply the prepared specimen to the test device.
- Insert device — place the device into the analyzer and select the test item.
- Read result — the analyzer reads the ID chip, counts down, and displays the quantitative result, printing automatically.
Reagent Compatibility
The FIA680 is compatible with Migibio’s full range of fluorescence immunochromatographic reagents — canine and feline infectious disease antigens/antibodies, hormones, inflammatory markers, and kidney/cardiac biomarkers. A single analyzer covers an entire diagnostic menu.
